Adding a Sonicwall VPN Appliance to the BCM

Postby arretx on Mon Jul 31, 2006 5:59 pm

My BCM 200 is also the DSU/CSU and the Router.

Typically, I attach a sonicwall to the DSU/CSU and configure it with the ISP information, then the sonicwall acts as DHCP and handles all NAT.

the BCM200 is confusing, to say the least. Would it be easier to install a new DSU/CSU, place the sonicwall between the DSU/CSU and the baystack switch, and then connect LAN1 of the BCM200 to the switch, disabling DHCP on the BCM200?

I need site-to-site VPN tunnels using all sonicwalls and I can't figure out how to get this one to work with the BCM200's "all in one" architecture. Any ideas?

If you use the Sonic Wall routers to provide the infrastructure as stated above. The only thing you need to do is disable BCM DHCP and set the default gateway (version 4.0) or next hop router (version 3.x) on the BCM.
